📍 The Historic Dodge House & The World Famous Montello Theater
Join us for a one-of-a-kind tour experience that takes you from a beautifully preserved 1893 Victorian home all the way to a century-old silent film, complete with popcorn!
Both buildings were owned by the Dodge family — and NOW they are reunited by the Mann family.
🏠 STOP 1 — THE HISTORIC DODGE HOUSE
Built in 1893 and home to Frank Dodge — mill co-owner, local judge, and community leader — the Dodge House is a stunning window into Victorian-era life. Marvel at the original furniture, period wallpaper, and design details that have stood the test of time, and hear the fascinating story of the Dodge family who shaped this community.
🎭 STOP 2 — THE MONTELLO THEATER (formerly Dodge’s Opera House)
Just next door sits one of the most storied buildings in Marquette County. Did you know a Wisconsin governor once spoke here? Tour the historic lobby, theater, and museum area and discover the incredible — and sometimes surprising — list of events this building has hosted:
✨ 1904 — A Huge Electric Light Wedding
🤼 Professional wrestling matches
🩺 Traveling medicine shows
🎤 Governor of Wisconsin
And so much more…
🎬 THE GRAND FINALE — SILENT FILM SCREENING
We’ll wrap up with a 15-minute silent film by the legendary Buster Keaton — the very same film that played in this theater 100 years ago. Enjoy it just as original audiences did, with a complimentary bag of popcorn! 🍿
